No, nothing to do with Monty Python but an inordinate amount of spam comments I’m getting at the moment. It is v annoying.

Lost in Show Biz? Lost in Some Biz certainly

Found this blog today and it made me laugh and cringe in equal measure. PR people, my colleagues, how can you get it so wrong?!

By the way, I realise it’s taken me three months to actually “find” this blog but you know I could spend all day looking at blogs end up not seeing them all (and likely end up jobless and friendless as well).

Social networking guru*

Just because I’m really interested in all this stuff, I have volunteered myself for a project at work looking at a social networking model for a client. At the moment the most frustrating thing about this will be when I leave this job (in a mere two weeks) and the project gets passed on to someone else. I suspect that between now and then the most frustating thing will be client’s reponse to my counsel that they can’t just pretend to be a punter and post some rather overtly branded communication on youtube hoping that your average youtuber will think “what marvellous advice, I must go and try these products”. I may need luck.

*I would like to point out I am not a social networking guru and that title must surely belong to Suw, however in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king.

All alone in the blogosphere

Well not really, but I am missing Suw, Kevin and Tom (or rather their blogs) who - quite annoyingly have all gone on holiday at the same time. Okay so Suw and Kevin are on honeymoon so we might just forgive them.

Just spent half an hour writing and it got lost. Very cross. You won’t believe me but it was quite witty!

Technorati trouble

Is anyone else having a nightmare with Technorati at the moment? It seems about a week behind which is really frustrating. Is there an alternative because it keeps messing about and is doing my poor little head in?

Talking of my poor little head, I hit it on the corner of the bathroom cabinet yesterday and am now sporting a rather unattractive bump and ridiculous bruise - thank goodness for make up. The whole thing actually made me feel quite sick and I had to go for a little lie down. Although it’s still quite tender, I’m just after sympathy really!

Facebooking

Why is Facebooking SO addictive? I am loving it because it’s easy to do and actually really works in terms of ease of keeping in touchness (technical term obviously).

I am still firmly sticking to my rule of only have friends who are friends in the real world and I haven’t quite got my head round prodding, poking, super-poking etc - besides isn’t poking someone just a bit rude? It’s been easy to fit in because I haven’t been working but obviously that all changes tomorrow so I have to be careful not to come home and plug in then wonder where on earth the evening went (also will leave me in a no win situation when it comes to moaning at the Beloved about such activity).
