1. Getting my visa through for Vietnam and realising it’s only three weeks to wait. Time to make lists and enjoy the anticipation.

2. Playing a guessing game as to what all the little footprints are in the snow in the garden. One set looks like a mutant bunny has moved into the neighbourhood.

3. My eBook. I love it. I love the fact it’s so small and cute (and pink) but I’m not going to run out of things to read for AGES.

1. Seeing The Nutcracker on NYE and revelling in its beauty.

2. The fireworks around Big Ben and The Eye. Wow!

3. Feeling very lucky that I can heat my house as much as I need without worrying about the bill.

1. A solitary cotton wool cloud in a big blue sky.

2. Delicious baby chuckling from an unseen garden. I don’t know what fun was being had but the laughter spread happiness far and wide.

3. People who run very very fast. I have never been able to run fast (I’d be way slower than this lady) but get very excited by people who can.

I have been neglecting my 3BT-ing recently (mainly because I’ve been hibernating in the world of sad sack, so I’ve decided to break free and try to be decidedly more jolly)

1. My lovely colleagues for not bothering me today because they knew I was poorly pants.

2. The pleasure of a warm shower when you’ve been sweaty and sicky feeling.

3. Magazines – smart people writing interesting things in short articles which can hold my sickly attention span.

1. I spent the weekend with my family in our family home, all together there for the first time in years. Even though my claim to my bedroom was usurped by my sister and she beat me at Scrabble, it was a lovely weekend.

2. My sister had some news which involved a ring and her boyfriend. This was very exciting as I’ve spent much of the past couple of weeks speculating to myself about how lovely this would be.

3. Ordering a Cornish crab at this restaurant and being astounded at its size (the crab, not the restaurant). Unfortunately they only had one (three of us wanted them for lunch) which was a little irritating, but the beast was so huge there was plenty to share.

4. The London Marathon. I love watching it and being totally over-emotional by the stories and the achievements behind the effort and on the day. However, I am never inspired to actually do it myself. I know my limitations.

1. My tulips have burst into life and are all full of pink frilly-ness.

2. Discovering new things about someone I have loved for a long time.

3. Reading lots of Dora The Explorer to small people (oi…Swiper no swiping!)

4. Being part of a jolly nice conspiracy.

Beautiful things from my holiday…(there are more than three – hurrah!)

Nature

1. Frigate birds – in flight they look like pteradactyls (well pictures of pteradactyls obviously not actually being that old to have seen one myself).

2. Seeing a nurse shark basking whilst I was snorkelling (and snorkelling itself as I’ve never done it in open water before and it was really cool).

3. A eight foot round brain coral which I’ve never seen before and apparently eight foot is quite big.

People

1. Imagine the horror of 75 teenage boys turning up on your holiday. But actually these boys (who were on a cricket tour – in Antigua, beats my French exchange trip to Le Havre) were terribly polite and well-behaved. In fact they were quieter en masse than various groups of other children who seemed to think shrieking and whining were the only ways to get what they wanted.

2. Antiguans are quite the most laid back people. Even people trying to sell you something beat a respectful retreat when you say you’re not interested.

3. Meeting new friends. Some of them will hopefully become more permanent features in my life.

Food and drink (obviously)

1. Strawberry daquiris – strangely addictive. As were “Neil’s Specials” – a delicious mixture of vodka, pomegranate and something else (which makes it special). Plus a well-made Bloody Mary. I have been addicted to Bloody Marys from the Caribbean since I was eight years old. No, my parents were errant…the barman used to make them without the vodka and they were called Bloody Shames. But my addiction to spicy blends of tomato and lime juice with lashings of Tabasco was born.

2. Rice and peas. I love rice and peas. Plus I ate so much fish I could have swum home (my extremely extended tummy would have been an ideal buoyancy aide). So rice and peas and Caribbean fish…a trip to Brixton is called for methinks.

3. Having an omelette made for for me for breakfast. Despite my culinary skills, I am not very good at making omelettes so having a tomato and mushroom omelette was a total treat (and I was very good and didn’t have cheese).

1. Vicky Christina Barcelona.

2. Rachel’s Getting Married.

3. Doubt.

I’m not inclined for large critiques at the moment. But I really enjoyed them all.

1. Meeting my lovely friend for brunch.

2. Finding a gorgeously different summer dress for my holiday.

3. Going to meditation class and relaxing. Although I suspect that falling asleep three times in 20 minutes means that I might be sleep deprived.
